1. Butterfly Beach

Known for: Butterflies; Secluded beach; At low tide, you might see sea urchins, sea cucumbers, etc.

Situated north of Palolem Beach, most of the time, the place remains near-empty and is the right place to enjoy solitude. It is famous as a picnic spot for couples who can enjoy their day, witness aquatic life; you might be lucky enough to witness thousands of butterflies dancing on the beach.  

2. Benaulim Beach

Known for: clean and calm, white sand beach; fishing beach. 

It is a beautiful and serene white sand beach. You will find this clean as it remains less crowded when compared to other beaches. It usually gets a little crowded during the evenings as people come to enjoy the beautiful sunset view.

3. Arambol Beach

Known for: Water sports; Nightclubs

Located in Northern Goa and sandwiched between Mandrem and Keri beach, Arambol is relatively new for tourists, and people come to enjoy its natural beauty. It is popular among tourists for water sports and a freshwater lake which is nearby.

4. Shiva Valley 

Known for: Parties and psychedelic vibe; Trance music

Located at Anjuna beach, this place has a psychedelic vibe. For people who love to party all night and dance to trance music, this club is a great place. Its central theme is Nataraj- Shiva’s dancing avatar. 

5. Verna Springs

Known for: A former eagle nesting site; healing properties of springs

It is also known as Kesarval springs, as it used to be a nesting area for eagles. Though the eagles disappeared, but people still call it that. Gushing springs between rocks and trees is an excellent spot for nature lovers. It remains crowded because of a rumor that the springs have healing properties.

How to reach?

By Airways – Goa International Airport, located in Dabolim, is the nearest International airport along with Mopa International airport. 

By railways – The primary railway stations in Goa are at Madgaon and Vasco-da-Gama from where cabs and buses are readily available.

By roadways – Goa is well connected with major cities in West India, and buses and taxis are available. If you are planning a road trip, you will find smooth highways connecting Goa to other places.
